SBAK Nito Mount 65th Youth Biennial Conference commences

The Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (SBAK) Nito Mount commenced its 65th Youth Biennial Conference on December 12. The conference, organised by the Department of Youth Ministry, is being held at Zhekiye Village in the Zunheboto district with the theme “Run” (Polo), inspired by Hebrews 12:1–2, and will continue till December 14.

The SBAK is affiliated with the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) and the Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (CBCNEI).  Speaking to The Morung Express, the Volunteer Convenor informed that 150 churches are participating, with around 2,700 delegates in attendance.

Throughout the three-day event, various speakers will share the Word of God, including Rev Paoneikhup Serto, Mission Secretary; Rev Küghato K Chophi, Executive Secretary, SBAK; and Jasper Achumi, Secretary, DoYM SBAK. 

Kaito Aye, Minister of Roads and Bridges, Government of Nagaland, will grace the conference during the morning session on December 13. Words of encouragement will be shared by Viku L Achumi, IPS, Asst SP, Karimganj District Assam and Kuputo Achumi, Member Sümi Literature Board with special appearances from the BZ Entertainment, Theatre and Film Society of Nagaland.

The opening session featured praise and worship led by the Dunatos Worship Band, along with a special presentation from Lumami Baptist Church. The programme was chaired by Avibo Sumi, Associate Pastor (Youth), Shena New Baptist Church.

The session was opened by Jasper Achumi, Secretary, DoYM NM with welcome song by women of the host village. Gloria Phuleshe, Founder of Musa Mix, shared her experiences. Special songs were performed by Mughato Achumi, Kihikali Zhimomi and Aghunato Town Baptist Church. The Word of God was delivered by Jasper Achumi, followed by the benediction pronounced by Pivito K Hesso, Evangelist, SBAK NM.
