Longtila S Sangtam hands over the letter to the DC Kiphire on March 16.
Kiphire, March 16 (MExN): Longtili C Sangtam, Project Lead of Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland for the Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels initiative, on March 16 submitted a formal letter to the Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire district regarding the progress of the project funded by the SBI Foundation.
The purpose of the submission was to officially update the district administration on the ongoing healthcare services being provided through the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) across various villages and towns in the district.
Under the project, free basic healthcare services are being delivered to people living in remote and underserved areas. The medical team regularly visits different villages to provide doctor consultations, basic medicines and essential health check-ups.
Services offered include blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar testing, laboratory tests, eye check-ups, ECG services and other primary healthcare facilities.
In addition to medical treatment, the team also conducts health awareness sessions focusing on hygiene, sanitation, safe drinking water and prevention of common diseases. These activities aim to help communities understand the importance of maintaining healthy living practices.
The project contributes to the global development goal of Sustainable Development Goal 3 — Good Health and Well-being — which aims to improve access to healthcare and promote a healthier and more dignified life for rural communities.
The letter also conveyed appreciation to the district administration for its continued support and cooperation, which plays an important role in the smooth implementation of the project.
