SBI holds hypertension screening

Kiphire, May 10 (MExN): A specialist health camp on hypertension screening for adults aged 30 years and above was conducted at Yangzitong village under Kiphire district on May 9 under the SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels project supported by SBI Foundation Nagaland in collaboration with Yopikyu Thongstar Memorial Trust.

Longtili C Sangtam, Project Lead, informed that a total of 97 beneficiaries availed health services during the camp. Altogether, 82 laboratory tests and 42 hypertension screenings were carried out.

Sangtam thanked the doctors and staff of Seyochung Primary Health Centre for their dedicated service and commitment towards the welfare of the community. He stated that their efforts reflected care and compassion for the people.

He also expressed gratitude to Yopikyu Thongstar Memorial Trust for its support, mobilisation and arrangements which contributed to the success of the programme. He added that the Trust’s commitment to public service was appreciated by the community and expressed hope for further collaborations in the future.

Sharing an update on the overall performance of the project since its inception, Sangtam said that under the SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels initiative, the team has completed 488 MOPD services, reached 7,583 beneficiaries and conducted 1,774 laboratory tests till date.
