Skilling Nagaland: Audio Workshop by TaFMA held in Meluri

Kohima, March 3 (MExN): The Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), Government of Nagaland, under its Skilling Nagaland initiative, completed the Audio Management Workshop for Meluri District, aimed at equipping participants with essential technical skills in sound engineering and audio management.

A total of 61 participants attended the workshop, gaining both theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on training in professional audio setup and live sound management.

The inaugural session on February 27 was graced by Mhathung Tsanglao, Deputy Commissioner of Meluri, as the special guest. In his address, Tsanglao emphasized the importance of skill-based training in the creative sector and encouraged participants to take full advantage of such opportunities for professional growth.

The workshop was facilitated by Menguzelie Marcus Geisuo, Sound Engineer, TaFMA and Merensuba Sangtam, Assistant Sound Engineer, TaFMA. The programme was coordinated by Thsiitho Kajiri, TaFMA District Partner, Meluri. The event commenced with an invocation by Sieketho Z Nyusou, Assistant Pastor, BCMT, followed by a special appearance by Apong Jorror, adding an element of encouragement and inspiration for the participants.

“This workshop is part of TaFMA’s broader mission to strengthen the creative ecosystem of Nagaland by offering specialized training in music and arts-related technical fields,” according to TaFMA adding that similar workshops have been conducted in multiple districts, benefiting a growing number of trainees.
