Dimapur, August 11 (MExN): The All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) has slammed the cabinet decision over the special recruitment of 10 EACs for 10 tribes.
Expressing its resentment over the decision in a press note appended by its president Nihoyi Kinnimi, stated that it is the most unfortunate decision and a direct discrimination of the remaining tribes.
The SKK staetd in the press note that it could not understand why the government is doing another special favour when the almost all the 10 tribes fall within the purview of the government’s reservation quota.
Adding that the latest cabinet decision granting these tribes an additional quota which is not unacceptable.
SKK will not negotiate with this and demands the government to immediately revoke the immature and unsound cabinet decision, it stated.
“We reiterate our support to the NSF on total review of the reservation policy and until the policy is reviewed no new policies with regard to job reservations should be framed and implemented. Before things go from bad to worse, the SKK cautions the government to immediately revoke the cabinet decision and stop all processes with regard to the 10 EAC recruitment process,” stated the press note.
