Dimapur, October 5 (MExN): The All Sümi Students’ Union (SKK) has expressed serious concern over the persistent absence of Heads of Departments (HoDs) and Government Officers from their respective postings in Zunheboto district.
Efficient governance and timely delivery of public services are non-negotiable prerequisites for the development and progress of the district, it noted.
Terming the issue as a matter of “severe public concern,” SKK categorically demanded that all government officers and HoDs ensure their presence in the district without further delay.
“This is not a request; it is a mandate from the people. Your presence is crucial to address the needs of our citizens promptly and effectively,” it stated.
The Union urged all concerned officers to prioritise their responsibilities, adhere to their postings, and work collectively towards building a more prosperous and developed district. “The people of the district expect nothing but dedication, commitment and accountability from its public servants,” it added.
Further, SKK informed that it would be initiating inspections on government offices from time to time, with the findings to be made public. The reports would also be submitted to the appropriate authority for necessary action against erring officials, it added.
