Special Branch nab arms dealer

DIMAPUR, JULY 16 (MExN): An arms dealer fell into the dragnet of the Special Branch of Dimapur police.
The person identified as one Imsutemjen Imchen was caught in the act when he was about to dispose off a .32 calibre automatic pistol (country-make) to an unidentified customer on Saturday, July 16 at around 1:00 pm.   
According to the Special Branch they were on the person’s trail for the past about one and a half month. On Saturday, they finally received reliable information about an imminent transaction set to take place around 1:00 pm at Naga colony, Burma Camp. Undercover personnel were deployed and in the process the dealer was nabbed alongwith the pistol about to be sold off. However, the supposed customer could not be arrested, the Special Branch said.
The pistol was inscripted with the initials, ‘B/NO- 900’ and ‘Automatic Pistol’ and contained a magazine with no ammunition. The arrested said to be a resident of Lengrijan, Dimapur was forwarded to the East Police Station.
