New Delhi, October 25 (MExN): BJP State president PS Sreedharan Pillai has been appointed as the Mizoram Governor.
According to media reports, Pillai will be the third Keralite to hold the post after Vakkom Purushothaman in 2011-14 and Kummanam Rajasekharan in 2018-19.
A press communiqué from President's Secretariat on October 25 informed about the Pillai’s appointment along with appointments/changes for three other individuals.
It include Satya Pal Malik, Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, who was is transferred and appointed as Governor of Goa; Girish Chandra Murmu as Lieutenant Governor of Jammu-Kashmir; and Radha Krishna Mathur as Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.
“The above appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices,” the communiqué added.
