Rescheduling of AI ATR on Monday
Dimapur, August 28 (MExN): The Station Manager Air India Ltd. Dimapur has informed that due to operational reason departure time of AI9702 for August 29 (Dimapur/Calcutta) has been revised to 1415 hrs. Hence all joining passengers of AI 9702 are requested to report for check-in at Dimapur Airport at 1245 hrs.
Tsupiki Awomi reconciled with TVC
Dimapur, August 28 (MExN): The Thsuruhu Village Council (TVC) has stated that Tsupiki Awomi who had left the Thsuruhu village since 1971 and had been living at Thsuruhu –B (now Kheshito village) for the last 40 years, have now been accepted back to Tsuruhu village as per their request and who have agreed in Toto to abide the rules and regulation of the Thsuruhu village council. TVC also declared that the descendants of Yezuto Rotokha comprise of 16 household and all the descendant of Tsupiki Awomi comprises of 23 household. A press note issued by Khuniho Rotokha, head GB and Yekato Totokha, chairman of Thsuruhu village, informed that in this respect, a prayer programme was held on April, 2011 at Thsuruhu Baptist Church through village council in the spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation in presence of the GB’s, Church leaders and elders of the Satoi area and surrounding villages. Henceforth, the note stated that these two descendants shall be treated as the residents and the citizens of Thsuruhmi for all purposes as reconciled and declared upon.
Union on deplorable condition of Tuensang-Longleng road
Dimapur, August 28 (MExN): Tuensang to Longleng Road, the only lifeline for public under Sangnyuchung Range Union (SRU) have already been cut off from the district headquarter for more than a month due to heavy landslide. The SRU in a press note issued by its president Koma Chingmak and executive chairman S Khoni stated that the newly constructed Konglongshu bridge and Namshu bridge has been washed away due to "heavy pouring". “In such a situation the general public are suffering, therefore the SRU kindly request the department concerned to make the road motor able without delay,” it appealed.
ACCC 30th Alongtaki clarifies
Dimapur, August 28 (MExN): Reacting to the press note issued by B. Kumzuk and three other witness party using the designation president of Lirmen Unit Congress party, the ACCC 30th Alongtaki A/C has clarified that in the year 2008 general election “B. Kumzuk was appointed as an adhoc president of Lirmen Unit Congress party for smooth functioning of party activities in the village. But in 2010, after reorganization election of Congress party in Nagaland, the unit issue of some village like Lirmen is still pending without any president, stated a clarification note issued by Aomeren, president, Ayuba Imchen, general secretary of the ACCC 30th Alongtaki. They further stated that it has no knowledge of “B. Kumzuk” using the name of president Congress Unit of Lirmen village as he is no more adhoc president since a decade ago. “If he wants to argue that he is a self style president of Congress unit in Lirmen, the ACCC has challenged to produce his appointment letter along with active and primary membership ID card with registration number approved by ACCC and DCC to prove it,” it stated. While terming the news item as the handiwork of “vested people in order to gain name and fame”, the Congress party of 30 Alongtaki A/C stated that it will not remain a silent spectator against false issue that arises just to malign the image of unity of good congressmen of 30 Alongtaki A/C.
CWO calls to fight atrocities against girl child & women
Dimapur, August 28 (MExN): The Chakhroma Women Organisation (CWO) today stated in a press note that the movement against atrocities towards girl child and women “is the beginning of the end.
The stepping stone for every girl child and women has been laid today to march forward to bring justice to all victim and family.”
The organisation in the press note issued by its president Abeiü Kuotsu and general secretary Vimeno Liegise stated that the major concern and plea to men folk and every citizen of Dimapur is to come forward to fight atrocities against girl child and women.
The CWO also request all villages, colonies, ward to re-enforce their youth to streamline the concept of human rights and to put an end to discrimination against girl and women. CWO calls upon all the youth and parent body to “campaign, pressure the notices, to participate in bringing social behave moral communication changes.”
The movement itself remarks the urge of society to live in co-existence in a peaceful manner to bring social transformation development. While reflecting upon the silent response and the huge turn out, the CWO acknowledge the support and participation from everyone.
Kohima DEF apprehends two persons
Dimapur, August 28 (MExN): Kohima DEF had arrested two persons in connection with two criminal cases on August 27.
The accused identified as ‘ss. l/corpl.’ Khrielie Kengurüse aka Neiketoulie, (27 yrs) of ‘NSCN- (IM)’, S/o – Pfungulie Kengurüse of Nerhema village, was an absconder. He was arrested from Kezieke at around 10: 30 am on August 27 in connection with Kohima North PS C/No. 0004/10 U/S 332 IPC R/W 25 (a) (1b) Arms Act. The accused have already been Charge Sheeted vide absconder charge sheet No. 83/10 Dated 03/09/10 for injuring one (IR) Jawan deployed at High School area by firing from his pistol, informed a press note issued PRO of DEF, Kohima Deputy Superintendent of Police (T), Kohima, Nagaland.
Also, one Rahul Amin, (32 Yrs.), S/o – Abdul Sukkur village, North Tripura and a resident of Mid-lane colony Kohima was arrested by AR and handed over to the Kohima North PS. One 9 MM pistol was recovered from the accused and a case was registered vide Kma North PS C/No. 0081/11 U/S 25 (1) (1A) Arms Act. Both the accused have been forwarded to court and further investigation is in progress, the note stated.
AZO to grace Pochury Black Day Cup

Under the aegis of Pochury Students’ Union (PSU) the first ever Pochury Black Day Memorial Cup 2011 is scheduled from September 7 to 14 at Meluri Local Ground.
According to President of PSU Vikuolie Janry, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, will graced the opening ceremony as the chief guest while, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism, Law & Justice Yitachu as the guest of honour.
The championship which is an open tourney was expected to participate with at least 30 teams vying for the coveted title. The Black day observation which observes annually was part of remembering the sacrificial deeds of the martyr who were massacre by the Indian forces without valid reasons.
Calling upon all the Pochuries to be part of the weeklong observation, Janry on behalf of the PSU in particular and the whole denizens of Pochury in general appeals the entire community to pray for the successful outcome of the tourney.
Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Meluri, Sentiwapang Aier will grace the closing ceremony as the chief guest on September 14.
Atoizu AYC responds to NPF Youth Wing
Dimapur, August 28 (MExN): The 32 A/C AYC has responded to the statement made by the 32 AC Atoizu NPF Youth Wing on August 13 in the local dailies.
In a rejoinder issued by its president Kakiho S Aye stated that the EAC headquarter was upgraded to SDO Civil headquarter at
Atoizu Town and two EAC headquarters at Akuhaito and Saptiqa was inaugurated during a year back and that it was not a personal proposal made by the minister to upgrade the headquarter but it has its own history from the past decades. "Inaugurating EAC Headquarter at Saptiqa was the prosper deeds of Road & Bridges Minister".
The rejoinder also stated that being a frontal unit of the party, proper understanding of the ailment suffered by the public in the constituency must be redressed to the authority in concern and accordingly the development should be implemented. “It is to remind them that, Power Minister who has been continuously for the third term representing our Constituency had done nothing remarkable job in our constituency. NPF Youth Wing is advised to visit how well our constituency has been developed as well as Headquarter condition is equally dedicated or not?”
Moreover, it has demanded the Atoizu NPF Youth Wing to reflect their tour dairy in the local medias mentioning every details of when and for what purpose the minister had visited the constituency. How many villages were "covered after 2008 general election" and what were the sort of developments or proposals were taken up "as an indispensable dimension" for the constituency during the tour programme and also to cite its achievements if successfully implemented.
It also went on saying that till now there is no road connection from Atoizu to Saptiqa Town. For the public to reach constituency headquarter it takes one day while "rounding Satakha Area" as well as Zunheboto and that the problem face by the people is worrisome.
