As part of the National Integration Tour under Operation Sadbhavana by Assam Rifles (South), students from various schools of Tengnoupal District of Manipur visited Raj Bhavan, Kohima and interacted with the Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, on March 13.
Kohima, March 13 (MExN): As part of the National Integration Tour (NIT), under Operation Sadbhavana by the Assam Rifles (South), students from various schools of Tengnoupal District of Manipur visited Raj Bhavan, Kohima and interacted with the Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, on March 13.

PRO, Raj Bhavan, Kohima in a press release stated that during the interaction, the Governor remarked that while people from different parts of our country differ in our food, culture, dresses, etc, we all share a fundamental unity, which makes us Indians. He emphasized the importance of not only acquiring knowledge from diverse communities but also developing an appreciation for their cultural practices. Furthermore, he acknowledged the nation’s linguistic diversity while reiterating its people’s inherent unity.

The Governor underscored the significance of hospitality as an integral aspect of Indian culture, he also reminded the students that though they may belong to different communities of Manipur, they all should keep in mind that we are Indians first, and we are all proud sons and daughters of Mother India.
The participating students also shared their perspectives and insights while visiting different parts of the country during their tour.
Major Jagmininder Singh Khalsa, the Officer-in-Charge of the National Integration Tour, delivered a welcome address and also introduction to the initiative.
