Sumi Hoho alleges discrepancy in Army recruitment process

Dimapur, September 9 (MExN): The Sumi Hoho has appealed to the army authorities of Rangapahar in Dimapur to hold another recruitment rally in Zunheboto owning to alleged discrepancies in the recruitment process.
The Sumi Hoho referred to ‘doubts and confusions’ arising out of a recently-concluded army recruitment rally held at Zunheboto.
“While observing the prevailing matter, it is found that certain procedural error has been detected on both the aggrieved party and the recruiting authority. As per the Rejoinder by the Director Recruiting ARO Rangapahar, the 61 candidates were cancelled as per Para 3 of their call up letter,” stated a note from the Sumi Hoho leaders. What the “para 3” was about, was not explained in the note.
The Sumi Hoho said “different call up letters” were issued to different provisionally selected candidates and in some letters, “no mention of Para 3” was found.
“Secondly, no call up letter should have been issued indicating training centers, regiments, date of reporting and dispatching, etc. without proper scrutiny as it has resulted causing to the aggrieved candidates wastage of time, energy, resources and most importantly even the career of those who were studying,” the ‘hoho’ said.
Terming these few procedural lapses as unfortunate, the Sumi Hoho appealed to the recruiting authority to take corrective measures to “fulfill the aspirations and policies of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.”
The organization has appealed for another recruitment rally in Zunheboto to “facilitate the deserving and genuine aspirants of the district.”
