Kohima, July 15 (MExN): The Entrepreneurs Associates (EA) will hold a Charity Sales Drive on July 16 to help cabbage farmers of the Razeba Range under Phek district who are staring at huge post-harvest losses due to marketing woes.
The sale will be held from 7:00 am onwards at Old NST Junction and Post Office Junction, Kohima on July 16 (Thursday). It will be inaugurated by Minister for Horticulture and Women Resource Development, Salhoutuonuo Kruse.
The initiative aims to support farmers who are struggling to market their cabbage produce, leading to large-scale wastage in the fields. Fresh cabbages sourced directly from local growers will be made available to the public.
Citizens have been urged to participate by purchasing the produce and supporting the farming community. The organisers expressed hope that the drive would help reduce post-harvest losses, strengthen local farmers, and promote sustainable agriculture in the state.
