Dimapur, August 17 (DIPR): The Department of Urban Development Agency Dimapur has organized two (2) day training on Mushroom Cultivation for the Self- Help Groups (SHGs) on August 17 and 18.
While interacting with the trainees, the Secretary District Urban Development Agency & District Urban Agency Officer, Dimapur, Chenithung Lotha said the objective of organizing the training was to open the eyes of the trainees and help them to develop entrepreneurship and to generate employment for self-sustainability.
Chenithung said, besides organizing such training for the Self Help Groups, the concern department in the District is also organizing different activities for SHGs such as rearing on Vermi-culture, Farming, Marketing, Handloom & Handi-Crafts, Dry Fish Business, or depending on their choice of business and they can also take up social causes through this agency.
The master trainer for the two-day included Coordinators from Livelihood Empowerment, Linus Malangmie and Gabria Ganmai, who were professionally trained on sustainable Agriculture and have being trained on Mushroom Cultivation at Allahabad Agriculture University.
