North Lakhimpur, September 8 (MExN): UCO Bank organised a Resource, MSME, Retail and Agriculture Carnival Camp at North Lakhimpur on September 8.

Chinmay Kumar Sahu, Deputy General Manager from the Bank’s Head Office, Kolkata, attended the event along with present and prospective customers as well as staff of the North Lakhimpur Branch.

Formally inaugurating the event, Zonal Manager of Jorhat Zone, Narendra Pratap Singh reiterated the UCO’ Bank’s commitment to serving customers in the region. 

He highlighted the achievements of UCO Bank in Assam, noting that under the ongoing campaign for the financial year 2025–26, loans amounting to over Rs 292 crore have been sanctioned by Jorhat Zone to 4,162 beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, Deputy GM  Sahu shared the Bank’s performance in 2024–25, which included deposits of more than Rs 2.93 lakh crore, advances exceeding Rs 2.19 lakh crore, and total business of over Rs 5.13 lakh crore. 

He informed that UCO Bank is currently conducting Resource, MSME, Retail and Agriculture Carnivals across India and offers several loan and deposit products at competitive rates. 

Sahu urged customers to open accounts for their family members and avail of the Bank’s wide range of services, including digital and social media platforms.

During the event, sanction letters were handed over to customers availing loan facilities under the campaign. Senior citizens of the branch were also honoured on the occasion, coinciding with UCO Bank’s observance of Senior Citizens Day.

As per the Bank, under the campaign, loans are being provided to eligible new and existing customers as per their requirement so that they can expand their business as well as create employment in their area.

Later, Sahu participated in a Saturation Camp on Jan Suraksha Yojana at the North Lakhimpur Block Development Office. He explained the features of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), as well as the Re-KYC process. 

Among others, the carnival was also attended by Deotuy Zonal Head of Jorhat Zone, Hashan Ejaz Hashmi; MSME Head of Jorhat Zone, Amit Kumar; Branch Head of North Lakhimpur, Sunayn Maitra; Assistant Branch Head, Digant Deori; and Assistant Manager, Mousumi Gogoi.
