Jorhat, August 16 (MExN): UCO Bank's Jorhat Zonal Office marked India's 79th Independence Day with a flag-hoisting ceremony led by Zonal Manager Narendra Pratap Singh.
In his address, Singh emphasized bankers' role in national development through financial empowerment, highlighting the bank's implementation of key government schemes including PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY, PMJDY, PM Suryaghar Yojana, and PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
The bank also supports education loans, agricultural credit, and CSR initiatives like water purification and disaster relief.
Under Corporate Social Responsibility, the bank is providing support to government and non-government organizations for various types of facilities such as water purifiers for drinking water, plantation of saplings, distribution of study material, disaster relief etc.
The event was attended by Deputy Zonal Head Hasan Ejaz Hashmi, MSME Head Amit Kumar, Retail Loan Head Manoj Gogoi, Chief Manager Nishant and all zonal office staff
