UCTM confers degrees to 40 students

Sovima, April 18 (MExN): United College of Theology and Missions (UCTM) held its 29th convocation ceremony at Baptist Church Sovima on April 16, graduating 40 students from various theological programmes.

Degrees were awarded in Master of Theology, Master of Arts in Mission, Master of Divinity, Bachelor of Theology and Diploma in Mission Studies. The Principal, on the recommendation of the Academic Dean, conferred the degrees, commissioning graduates for Christian ministry.

The programme included procession, hymns, Scripture reading, convocation address and commissioning prayer.

Guest speaker Huzo Meru delivered the convocation address, while Suluvelu Keyho spoke on behalf of the graduands. Special awards, including D Haralu’s Award, Principal’s Award, Student of the Year and Best Preacher, were presented. Graduates from across Northeast India and Myanmar reflected UCTM’s wide mission outreach.
