Kohima, December 7 (MExN): The Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, S Krishnan, has assured the Union Government’s commitment and support to strengthening information technology infrastructure in Nagaland.
He further reaffirmed the Government’s support to advance the new generation of strategic technology initiatives outlined by the State during a meeting with the Advisor for Information Technology & Communication, Economics & Statistics and Evaluation, H Sethrongkyu Sangtam in Kohima, on December 7.
As per the State DIPR, during the meeting, the Advisor presented several flagship technological initiatives envisioned by the State Government to build a resilient and future-ready digital governance infrastructure, it said. These included the AI-powered State Data Centre, designed to serve as a centre for hosting critical government applications and enabling data-driven decision-making; the State Cyber Security Operations Centre (SC-SOC), designed to protect the Government’s digital assets through enhanced monitoring and coordinated incident response.
In response, the MeitY Secretary commended the State Government for its proactive, innovative and impactful initiatives in the IT sector and noted that the projects were consistent with national goals, the State DIPR added. Accordingly, he stressed the need for sustained State–Centre collaboration to ensure successful implementation of such programmes and affirmed the Union’s commitment.
