Veteran badminton tournament concludes in Kohima

The third edition of the Kohima Chakhesang Veteran Badminton Tournament concluded on Saturday at the Multi-purpose Hall of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, with champions crowned in three age categories.

In the 85+ category, Muzivo Khamo and Mudozo Nyekha emerged champions, defeating the pair of Dr Nutazo Lohe and Avosa Khamo, who finished runners-up.

In the 95+ category, Moses Rose and Mudozo Nyekha clinched the title, while Er Wekhape Puro and Kewetso Mero finished runners-up. The 105+ category was won by Netsozu Tunyi and Husazo Puro, with Weprepe Mero and Kekhrozulo Ritse securing the runners-up position.

A total of 53 players participated in the one-day tournament. Er Shievotso Nienu, aged 80, was the oldest participant.
