Dimapur, September 12 (MExN): Samziuram Village Council, Peren has claimed that the Department of Social and Family Welfare is the only department from where “people of Nagaland could enjoy government beneficiary schemes unlike other departments”. The council has appreciated the department for coverage of human development in every nook and corner of the state from infant to old age.
The chairman of the council Akoubo in a press note stated that the department provides:
1. Health and food nutrition
for 0-6 yrs.
2. Pre-school education with
materials for 0-6 yrs.
3. Health and nutrition for
pregnant and nursing mothers.
4. Health care and nutrition for
adolescent girls from 11-18 yrs of age.
5. Disability/handicapped
pension schemes.
6. Orphanage home for
parentless children.
7. Delinquent home.
8. Family benefit schemes.
9. Widow pension and
10. Old age pension.
“…I, on behalf of my own village and people of nagaland thanked the department of social and family welfare, govt. of nagaland for sincerely helping throughout the state. May god bless you,” the chairman of the council stated in the pres note.
