DFO, Kohima & DMU Head, Dr Sevono Seletsu inaugurated the village road and footpath at Gwachonlo village (Batch -IV under Tseminyu) on September 27.

Tseminyu, September 27 (MExN): Divisional Forest Officer, Kohima & DMU Head, Dr Sevono Seletsu inaugurated the village road and footpath constructed under the component of Entry Point Activity (EPA), of Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP) at Gwachonlo village (Batch -IV under Tseminyu) on September 27.
The inauguration was done in the presence of Yhuntilo Kent, Range Forest Officer & Field Management Unit Head, Tseminyu, Gwachonlo JFMC Chairman, Ahyun S Kath, and members from the village.
Addressing the community members, the DFO said that the inauguration is a celebration of a milestone for the community. She also appealed the members of the village to maintain the EPA with utmost care, which has been created for the benefit of the entire community.
The DFO lauded the collaborative efforts of the village Council members and Joint Forest Management Committee (JFMC), adding that the achievement under the project signifies their unity. The DFO further briefed about the project objectives and encouraged the village members to take ownership of various project activities to make it a success in the village.
Meanwhile, Thepfuruja Khing, Village Council member and Loshubu Khing (GB) in their short speeches, expressed gratitude towards the project for fulfiling the long-standing requirement of the village community.
The programme was chaired by Yhuntilo Kent, Range Forest Officer & Field Management Unit Head, Tseminyu, while Ahyun S Kath, Gwachonlo JFMC Chairman proposed the Vote of Thanks. Earlier, Ahyun S Kath, Pastor TBC offered the dedicatory prayer.
