Dimapur, August 19 (MExN): Hindu Mandir Society, Kohima, Nagaland has extended its full support to the mass-movement headed by Ahimsa Ke Pujari (believer in non-violence) and veteran Gandhian Anna Hazare to check the rampant corruption beginning from Prime Minister’s Office passing through Group of Ministers, Members of Parliament and the Executives percolating down to the bottom.
“This corruption has engulfed even judiciary wherein even Chief Justices of various High Courts and former Chief Justices of Bharatvarsh were also allegedly involving in corruption. Because of corruption, the black money is bulging day in and day out and culprits are found roaring due to absence of appropriate Law and lack of will power in Union Government. This has adversely affected the over-all morality and piety in social life of Bharatiya Samaj. The Jan Lokpal Bill drafted by Team Anna is capable of checking over 80 percent of corruption. But Delhi is not prepared to accept it for obvious reasons known to every awakened citizen of this country,” stated the Hindu Mandir Society in a press note issued by its secretary Jagdamba Mall.
It has appealed the “Government of Bharatvarsh” not to trample the civil liberty and citizen’s right guaranteed in the constitution. “Anna Hazare is an epoch-maker and a ray of hope of this country in the prevailing darkness at national level caused due to ever-increased corruption during last five-six years.”
It also mentioned that the arrest of Anna Hazare and action taken against his followers are purely a mockery of democracy. It is apprehended that if Central Government acts as a dictator and autocrat, the movement against corruption will spread like wild fire.
Concerning the issue the Hindu Mandir Society, Kohima has appealed the Naga societies not to lag behind any more and every apex organizations of Naga people must come forward in support of mass movement led by Anna Hazare. “We also appeal to other communities living in Nagaland to come out in support of Anna Hazare and his Jan Lokpal Bill.”
