Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): The Western Sumi Students Union (WSSU) strongly condemns the rape and murder of late. Avino on July 21, 2011 by one accused Beto Zhimomi. The WSSU extended its solidarity towards the Special Investigating team (SIT), Dimapur Police led by SDPO Shouka Kakheto for apprehending the accused and the Chekiye Village Council for the immediate action against the culprit. A condemnation note issued by Abeto Swu, general secretary, WSSU also condemned the heinous and barbaric act of the accused. The WSSU also appeal to the law enforcing agencies to take severe action against the culprit to set an exemplary punishment and also affirmed its fullest cooperation and support towards the law enforcing agencies to check the growing anti-social menace in a civilized society. It also expressed its deepest condolence to the bereaved family.
