Youth volunteers represent Nagaland in ‘My Bharat’ prog

As part of ‘My Bharat,’ Inter State Youth Exchange Programme (ISYEP) organised by Nerhu Yuva Kendra, Kolkata, West Bangal under the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, Government of India at North, 24 Parganas, youth volunteers represented Nagaland along with two escorts in West Bengal from March 2-6. The programme was attended by 27 youth volunteers. 

During the inauguration programme, the resource persons were CRPF Deputy Commander, Naresh Chowdhury and Father Rohit Banerjee, Director of Praggaloy Pastrol and development centre.  The programme was led by DYC, NYK, North Kolkata, Priyanka Ghosh. 

On the 2nd day, the sessions were led by Aritsa Basu, Assistant Professor. She spoke on the topic Soft Skills and communication; Tulika Chakravarty, Professor Writer on the topic Culture and Tradition and the 3rd session was taken up by Nagaland Team by presentation of cultural presentation.  The special guest was DYC, Kolkata, Deb Kumar Chatterjee. 

The 3rd day included Fiels Visit to Belur Math, Tala Friendship Association, Victoria Memorial and Science City in Kolkata.

Earlier, a 27 member Youth delegation from West Bengal attended the ISYEP in Nagaland in January, this year. 
‘MY Bharat’ is an initiative of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports to empower Indian youth through social mobility, educational equity, and practical skills.
