Students ZM Seedling School, Yoruba during handicraft day.
KOHIMA, OCTOBER 7 (MExN): In an effort to inculcate students with a sense of valuing and promoting indigenous crafts, the ZM Seedling School, Yoruba organised a 2 day Handicraft day at the school premises from October 3 to 4.
The event saw students, teachers and parents coming together to learn about the traditional crafts, weaving and handlooms. The motive of the event was to encourage training of students in traditional crafts beyond the academic curriculum.
The two day event enabled parents to partake in the school curriculum by engaging in teaching the students a variety of rich craft activities promoting a sense of cultural relevance and importance of its preservation.
