ZYF (AMN) on Sadar Hills issue

Dimapur, September 7 (MExN): The Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Manipur Nagaland) has stated that before initiating and commencement of official works by the State Government with regard to the recently constituted committee christened as “Re-organization of Administrative and Police Boundaries” the State government should first honor and comply the directive of the  Home Minister of the Union Government addressed to the then Chief Minister of Manipur in the year 1990 to merge Zeliangrong areas of Churachandpur and Senapati districts to Tamenglong district.
A press note issued by Gaingamlung Pamei, Development Secy. ZYF (AMN) stated that “in compliance to the directive, the respective Deputy Commissioners of Churachandpur and Senapati districts had already submitted detail reports to the Government for necessary action. However, till today, the successive State Govt. failed to fulfill the directive. This is clear case of non-compliance and defiance of the Home Minister directive by the State Government,” the note stated.
ZYF (AMN) stated that the Zeliangrong people would not remain as silent spectators if any attempt was made by the State Government for further bifurcation of Zeliangrong areas and its amalgamation to any other areas or districts on the pretext of administrative convenient or other unjustified reasons.
