KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 25 (MExN): Under the aegis of Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA), 12th International Hornbill Naga Wrestling Championship 2018 is all set to be conducted on December 4, at Amphitheatre, Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
According to a press statement issued by NWA general secretary, Vekhozo, the championship shall be graced by Pele Khezhie, President, Nagaland Taekwondo Association & Convenor Northeast Taekwondo Association as the Special Guest.
The Championship will be conducted in two categories - Professional and Amateur & Tourist Category. Under the Professional Category, the three NWA constituent units viz; Angami Sports Association (ASA), Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA), and Zeliang Wrestling Association (ZA) will send their 8 best wrestlers each while outside state wrestling association, viz; Senapati District Wrestling Association, Manipur will also sent equal number of wrestlers for competing in the professional category.
Meanwhile, under the Amateur & Tourist Category, invitation has been extended to all wrestling enthusiast within and outside the state for participation. The entry will be free and can be registered on spot on December 4 or can contact any NWA officials at 9612111544 for registration.
