The thirteenth edition of the Imchaba Master Memorial Volleyball tournament organized by the Mokokchung District Volleyball Association got underway today at Multi-purpose complex, Mokokchung.
M. Bendangnukshi Longkumer, Sr. Advisor Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce, the inaugural patron in his speech highlighted the life and achievement of Late. Master Imchaba and said that it is commendable to remember a person of the 19th century in the 21st centuries.
He congratulated the MDVA for their effort and stressed on two points saying that we should be disciplined in everything that we do and whatever field we may be and that the denizens of Mokokchung should put hands together to improve and work towards establishing a proper sports complex.
The welcome address was given by Tsukjempokba, Convenor, Planning Committee. The Apex and Marep Child Choir also performed during the inaugural function.
The Imchaba Masters Volleyball tournament is one of the biggest volleyball event in the district and it is scheduled to be held from October 8 to 11.
