14 contestants will vie for the coveted Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 title scheduled to be held on June 10 at the Regional Centre of Excellence for Music and Performing Arts (RCEMPA). The grand finale will commence at 5:30 PM while the Red Carpet is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
Minister of Higher Education & Tourism, Temjen Imna Along will grace the occasion along with Reigning Miss Universe India, Rhea Singha among other dignitaries.
This was announced by the Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN) during a press conference with the selected finalists held at the Hotel Mirage on June 5.
President of BASN, Mele Pucho told media persons that with Ruopfüzano Whiso creating history by becoming the only second Naga woman to compete in one of the biggest national pageants in the country, they have very high expectations from the contestants. “I believe they will represent us very well,” he stated.
Mele Pucho, who is also the State Director for Miss Universe Nagaland, further expressed that, “BASN is doing our best to give more opportunities and platforms for our young girls who are very talented.” Divulging that the contestants were selected through a very intensive open audition held on May 17 at Westside, Ara Mile, Dimapur, he also affirmed that the reason for organising Miss Nagaland Universe “is to give a better experience to our young girls.”
For the next 5-6 days, the contestants will be groomed by experts before they participate in the grand finale.
Earlier, BASN Media & Publicity Secretary, Sarah Naam highlighted that some of the major sponsors for the event include Department of Tourism, TaFMA (Venue partner), Westside (Title sponsor & style partner), Anix Crowns (crown partner), Liamtra (business partner) and the Mirage, Essence, Hotel Vivor and Niathu Group (hospitality partners).
Mention may be made here that Miss Universe Nagaland is managed and produced by Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland and Glamanand Supermodel India.
The 14 contestants are Kelülü Dawhuo, Anon Konyak A, Linokali Achumi, Menangnula Longchari, Teilih Konyak, Christine Tsela, Suruhukali Aomi, Kikile Pame, Susana Kinghen, Easter Ngullie, Lovikali Swu, Gwasinle Keppen, Susmita Khersa and Yanbeni Ezung. It may be noted that tickets for the grand finale are priced at Rs 1000 and Rs 2000 respectively and are available at Symphony Cafe, D/Cafe, and Essence Kohima.
