Charui Chiru Naga FC & Phesama YO enter pre-quarters

Charui Chiru Naga FC, Manipur and Phesama Youth Organisation today entered the pre-quarter finals after registering wins in their respective matches at the ongoing 19th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2018 here under the aegis of Angami Students’ Union.
Phesama Youth Organisation found the pre-quarter finals berth by overcoming Sports Link FC 5-3.
The opening goal for Sports Link FC came from the boot of Niekhoto Cürhah in the 6th minute while Menosalie Chuse of PYO equalised the game in the 11th minute.
Chedevi Mejüra netted the second goal for PYO in the 24th minute which was followed by an equaliser from Hüveto D Vadeo (14) of Sports Link FC in the 29th minute. Within a minute's time, PYO took the lead in the 30th minute with the third goal scored by Theja Chuse who also converted the fifth goal in the 90+minute. Vikehiezo Mejura (8) of PYO contributed the fourth goal in the 44th minute.
Meanwhile, third goal for Sports Link FC was converted by Vethizo Vero through spot kick in the 33rd minute.
In the second match of the day, Charoi Chiru Naga FC, Manipur progressed to the pre-quarter finals by defeating White Panther(Phek) by 4-1.
Kenneth scored the first and third goals for Charoi Chiru Naga FC, Manipur in the 13th & 58th minutes while Imran netted the second goal in the first-half injury time. The fourth goal came in the 78th minute from the boot of Jonty.
The lone late goal for White Panther (Phek) was scored by Khosehu Rhakho in the 86th minute.
Charui Chiru Naga FC, Manipur will play against Phesama Youth Organisation in the next round on October 11.
