Students of Green Higher Secondary School with the faculty of SJU at the valedictory programme of the 1st School Tournament Hub, held at the SJUcampus on November 7.
Chumoukedima, November 8 (MExN): The 1st School Tournament Hub organised by St. Joseph University and DMI St. Joseph Global School concluded on November 7 at a valedictory programme held at the university’s campus.
In a press release received here, it stated that the tournament concluded with great enthusiasm and joy, marking the successful culmination of the inter-school sports tournament.
The event celebrated the spirit of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship through exciting competitions in football, volleyball, and basketball category.
The program was hosted by Dr. KikolehoRicha, department of biotechnology, SJU, while Rev. Fr. Martin Jacheus, MMI, deputy campus manager, led the invocation and Chongtin H from the department of education, SJU, presented a special song.
The highlight of the ceremony was the declaration of results by NanglemKonyak from the department of physical education, SJU, followed by the distribution of medals, certificates, cash prizes and trophies to the deserving winners.
Vice Chancellor, Dr. D Gnanadurai, SJU, graciously presented the champions’ trophy to Greenwood Hr. Sec. School, where he lauded their outstanding performance, unwavering determination and exemplary sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Khreinuo from DMI St. Joseph Global School, who extended heartfelt gratitude to the management, organizing committee, staff, volunteers, and students for their tireless efforts in making the event a grand success.
