Chedema VYO is in the final of the Classic Club Kohima’s Classic Cup 2018. Chedema pummeled Küluopfü FC Pochury 5-1 today at the Kohima local ground riding on a hattrick from Imlong Chaba.
Chaba struck twice in the first half and followed up with a third after the break. Punuru and Shurhosiil joined him in the second half to score one each. The last three goals came within a space of 11 minutes.
Trailing 0-4, Kiiluopfii narrowed the gap in the 63rd minute through a brilliant effort from Sienguji. But Chaba made it 5-1 in the 66th minute. Chedema VYO will face Head Hunters Jakhama at the final on November 19.
Meanwhile, the Challenger Cup, a feature of the Classic Cup, will pit Kohima Press Club against Classic Club on November 18. it will start at 2:00 pm.
Nagaland Football Association president P. Atuo Mezhiir Sekhose will grace the grand final on November 19 at 1:30 PM.
