New Market FC emerges champion

New Market FC today emerged the champion of 2nd KTC (Kohima Town Club) Cup 2018 here at the Kohima Local Ground under the aegis of Kohima Town Club.
In a thrilling final match, New Market FC defeated strong opponent Sechü Zubza FC 2-1.
Rhitsho Mero and Salu Kulim netted a goal each for the winning team New Market FC in the 20th and 54th minute respectively.
A lone goal for Sechii-Zubza FC came through the boot of Petevizo Kezieo in the 76th minute.
Champions New Market FC received a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 sponsored by Er.Mezhiivolie Solo in honour of his father Late Perhielie Solo, the first Naga gold medalist in All India Rural Sports Meet during 1976 - 77.
Runner-up Sechii-Zubza FC received Rs.20,000 sponsored by M/S KAPRAA, Sers Bazaar Kohima).
Major General Pradeep C Nair, YSM, IGAR (N) graced the closing ceremony as special guest.
