8th Mon Inter Dept Tourney begins

MON, NOVEMBER 26 (MExN): The 8th Inter-Departmental Tournament of Mon District started on November 26 at Officer’s Club Mon.

DC Mon, Thavaseelan K IAS, speaking on the inaugural programme as the host, said that the inter-departmental tournament is the occasion where officials and staff of different departments come together. He expressed hope that this tournament will be an inspiration, entertaining and refreshing to all the officials and staff who are posted in Mon District. He also added that the Tournament will be an opportunity for officials of different departments to know each other and also bring oneness. He acknowledged all the officers of Mon District for their contribution towards the Tournament. Imnalensa, IPS Superintendent of Police delivered a short speech on this occasion. N Wennyie, PD & Co-convenor, Organizing Committee said the opening remarks. 

Badminton, Chess, Carom, Table Tennis, Arm Wrestling and Marathon Race are the disciplines being competed in the tournament which will last till November 28.
