Mavericks FC (Mon) and Langsa Hill FC (Mon) today registered win in their respective matches at the ongoing 9th Capt. N. Kenguruse, MVC Memorial Football Tournament 2025 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Mavericks FC showcased complete authority on the pitch as they secured a 4–0 win over A. Yhome FC (Kohima) in the first match.
Their breakthrough arrived in the 31st minute, when Dongehanglen calmly slotted home after finding space behind the defence.
The second half saw Maverick FC increase the pressure, and Dongehanglen doubled his tally in the 64th minute.
Pangteih contributed another goal for the team in the 81st minute, followed quickly by Ratobetwo minutes later (83rd minute).
In the second match, Langsa Hill FC registered a 2–1 victory over Adroit Boys Sechü Zubza FC, sealing their place in the semi finals.
Nisede opened the account for Adroit Boys in the 2nd minute.
Berithung netted the equalizer for Langsa Hill FC in the 44th minute.
The winning goal for Langsa Hill FC came through Guqhe in the 91st minute.
