DIMAPUR, APRIL 30 (MExN): MLA and Advisor for Land Resources, G Ikuto Zhimomi today called for public awareness ahead of the upcoming census and sought cooperation for the district’s 75th Jubilee celebrations scheduled in early 2027.
He said this at the NPF’s 34 A/C Aghunato held a party meeting at Aghunato Town Hall on April 30.
Addressing the gathering, Zhimomi outlined development initiatives in the constituency and said these were being carried forward with the support of Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio. He also spoke on government schemes and health insurance programmes available to the public.
NPF Central Working President Ahovi Zhimo urged party workers to remain committed to “defending and protecting the NPF party.” NPF Central Women Wing Working President Vikali Zhimomi said that the present government under Dr Neiphiu Rio is giving “special importance to women serving in various decision-making capacities.”
Farmers Wing President, NPF Zunheboto, Kiheto Phuleshe appreciated the developmental progress in the constituency and stated that the present State Government is providing facilities and opportunities for the people, particularly in the Aghunato area.
Speakers representing different ranges also expressed support for the MLA and the State Government.
The meeting, chaired by NPF 34 A/C Aghunato President Akato Yeptho, was attended by party leaders, workers, and representatives from various units. It concluded with a thanksgiving address by Kasuho Yeptho and a benediction by Kiyeho Yeptho.
