KIPHIRE, APRIL 6 (MExN): Agape Higher Secondary School on April 5 hosted a motivational talk on cracking competitive examinations, with Assistant Research Officer Vilila S. Thoanger of the Department of Art and Culture sharing her experiences and insights with students from classes 9 to 12.
Speaking at the school auditorium, Thoanger encouraged students to adopt good habits and develop a strong character as essential steps toward achieving success. “Hard work and a never-give-up attitude are key to succeeding in life,” she said, adding that she studied 10 to 12 hours a day for two years in preparation for competitive exams.
Thoanger also shared that she had cleared the UGC-NET exam and had the opportunity to work as an assistant professor at a reputed college outside Nagaland — a long-held dream. However, she chose to return and serve the people of Nagaland by pursuing civil service instead.
She urged students to dream big and explore all possible avenues to achieve their goals.
The school administrator, who welcomed and moderated the program, thanked the resource person for taking time out of her busy schedule and encouraged students to draw inspiration from her journey.
