ANATG 2015 continues indefinite hunger strike

The All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers' Group 2015 batch started their indefinite hunger strike at Capital Convention Centre, Kohima on February 11. Fifteen teachers volunteered for the hunger strike, which began with a mass solemn prayer.

The second day of the indefinite hunger strike by the All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers’ Group (ANATG)–2015 Batch passed off peacefully here on February 12, with the members demanding regularisation of their services.

The protest is being held at the Capital Convention Centre in Kohima. 

Delegations from the Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO), Northern Angami Youth Organisation (NAYO), and the All Nagaland State Teachers Association (ANSTA) visited the striking teachers to express solidarity.

Meanwhile, it was informed that the hunger strike will continue, with the protest site being shifted to the Directorate of School Education on February 13. The agitation will be held from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

ANATG 2015 batch has been in sit-in protest since February 3 at Naga Solidarity Park and submitted a letter to the state government on February 6 for immediate regularisation of their service. The group later shifted their hunger strike to Capital Convention Centre on February 11.
