Kohima, April 29 (MExN): The All Nagaland Physical Education Graduate Union (ANPEGU) has urged the state government to advertise and fill vacant posts across sports and physical education departments, cautioning that the delay is hampering athlete development and talent identification in the State.
In a press release, the Union called upon the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, to take immediate steps to advertise and fill up of vacant posts of District Sports Officers (DSO), Physical Instructors (PIS), and Coaches. It also appealed to ensure that all such vacant posts are duly requisitioned through the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) and the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC).
Further, the Union also appealed to the Department of School Education to initiate advertisement of vacant Physical Education Teacher (PET) posts in government schools through the NSSB and NPSC as per applicable norms.
Additionally, the Department of Higher Education has been urged to advertise and fill all vacant posts of Assistant Professor in Physical Education in government colleges, with requisitions to be processed through the NPSC in accordance with established procedures.
