Appeal for at least 3 years age relaxation for Govt Jobs in Nagaland

Through your esteemed daily, we appeal to the state Government to give at least 3 years age relaxation. If agreed, this will mean 2 years in actuality. It is because the state government in February 2022 gave 2 years age relaxation but it is to be effective from April 2021. So this year we got the news that we were eligible to apply for government jobs last year! Due to no age relaxation, no one above 35 applied for government jobs in 2021. So, with the so called 2 years age relaxation, we can apply only once in 2022 because 2021 is over and with that one year of age relaxation is wasted. But even in 2022, government job advertisement is hardly coming up. Even the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) is yet to start its recruitment. And if the recruitment come late this year, many candidates will miss the age cut-off by months or days. So the 2 years age relaxation in effect means just 1 year; and this 1 year too is not that helpful because we don't see much recruitment by the government in the narrow window of few months that we have.

Therefore the unemployed job seekers will be very grateful if 3 years age relaxation is given which in effect will mean just 2 years. If the readers have misunderstood the government notification, we apologize. But we also hope that the government will clarify and explain the notification more elaborately or accept the appeal of the job seekers. If the appeal is not accepted then the government should know that the age relaxation was a namesake offer because 2021 is over and with it was wasted one year of the age-relaxation it offered; and for this year too we have less hope because we don't see any government job advertisements from NSSB coming anytime soon.
