Army recruitment rally at Zbto

Kohima, March 13 (MExN): An Army Recruitment Rally is being conducted at Zunheboto (Nagaland) from March 24 to 30 March.  The rally, to be conducted at the DC Ground, Zunheboto is a wonderful opportunity for the youth of Nagaland to get selected for a glorious career in the Army, according to Col RK Palta, PRO (Defence).
The recruitment will be opened for unmarried male candidates only for Soldier General Duties (GD) category. The recruitment is for youth belonging to all districts of Nagaland only. The screening of candidates will commence at 6:00 am on each day of the Rally, commencing from March 24.
The daily schedule of the rally will be as follows (candidates are advised to be present at the venue of the rally accordingly) : On March 24, 6:00 am candidates from Zunheboto, Tuensang, Dimapur, Kiphire, Peren and Mon districts only, for Soldier (GD) Category. On March 25, 6:00 am for candidates from Wokha, Kohima, Tuensang, Mokokchung  and Longleng districts only for Soldier (GD) Category. On March 30 from 6:00 am onwards, for verification and conduct of written test for all the candidates of Soldier (GD) Category, who have been found to be medically fit.
Medical examination and documentation of the remaining candidates, will continue up to March 28 and those candidates who clear the medical examination, will appear for the Common Entrance Exam(CEE), at the DC Ground, Zunheboto on March 30.
For consideration in the sportsmen category, a candidate should possess a certificate of having participated at the State or National level in any recognized sports discipline, within the last two years, or should have won a silver or a gold medal at the district / university level.
Medical examination will be conducted only for those candidates who pass the physical fitness tests, the physical measurement tests, and whose documents are in order.
It is also intimated that eligible/desirable candidates (10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) can also appear in the Special Technical Rally, which is being conducted at Nongpoh (in Ri Bhoi District), Meghalaya from April 11 to 16.

Candidates are advised not to fall prey to touts and persons posing as recruitment agents by demanding money from them, against promises of recruitment.
“Such people will only cheat the candidates of their money as no money is required to be paid for recruitment carried out through the offices of the Army Recruiting Offices,” Palta added.
