Aspirational Block initiative: NITI Aayog YP visits Atoizu

Atoizu Town hosted the official visit of Ngayaipam A. Shimray, Young Professional from NITI Aayog, under the Government of India’s Aspirational Block Programme (ABP) for Akhuaito Block.

ATOIZU, MAY 29 (MExN): Atoizu Town in Zunheboto district hosted the official visit of Ngayaipam A. Shimray, Young Professional from NITI Aayog, under the Government of India’s Aspirational Block Programme (ABP) for Akhuaito Block.

The programme, held at Jubilee Hall, Atoizu, was jointly organised by local MLA Er. Picto Shohe (32 A/C Atoizu) and the District Administration of Zunheboto. It was chaired by Dr Samuel Akho Konyak P, NCS, Extra Assistant Commissioner of Atoizu and Nodal Officer for the Aspirational Block Programme.

The event began with an opening prayer by Khekiye Achumi, Pastor of Atoizu Town Baptist Church, followed by a welcome address from Nukutulu S. Venuh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Atoizu.

Er. Picto Shohe, Anatoly Suu (Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Zunheboto), and Kitoli Naje (Chairperson, Atoizu Town Council) delivered brief speeches during the programme.

Shimray presented the keynote address and engaged in an interactive session with officials from various departments. Presentations were made by officers from the Health, Social Welfare, Education, PHED, PWD (R&B), NSRLM, Agriculture, Veterinary, and Soil Conservation departments, highlighting sectoral initiatives under ABP.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Gihuka Chishi, Medical Officer at Atoizu PHC, and a benediction by Khetoi Chophi, Pastor of NCRC, Atoizu Town.

As part of the visit, the team also undertook extensive field inspections over two days, covering government offices, health centres, schools, and other institutions across Atoizu sub-division to assess developmental progress and challenges under the Aspirational Block framework.
