The recent picketing by NSF to a particular Department, followed by the resentment of EUUN on the backdoor appointment had opened a Pandora box-the nexus between some politicians and some top Bureaucrats. Kudos to research scholar K.Chiezou on his Article Sub-titled-“on corruption & bogus appointment”, who had rightly pointed out the prevailing trend in our Government Departments.
Consuming and Keeping the above allegations, the Government of the Day had to take the whole responsibilities for the present messed created among the educated unemployed youths in general. As the vacant post in most of the Government Departments are not requisition to NPSC nor conducted by competent authority and thereby giving ample opportunity to swap those vacant posts for the politicians and bureaucrats in most cases, which we can see as per some reliable sources inputs in some of the departments given below:
Moreover, other technical Departments are accounted too for continuously violating the recruitment procedures.
These are some of the skeletons rolling out of the cupboard of some Departments which had indirectly affected the careers of those sincere, dedicated and brilliant Educated Unemployed youths of the State for a decade or more.
In fact, P&AR Department had to be overhaul once and for all, and an Independent Vigilance Cell had to be set up to Monitor and streamline the system in which the approvals for backdoor appointment are given. It is only through the clearance given by P&AR Department; such rampant backdoor appointment system had been going on till date, as the Norms/service Rules of each and every Department had been over looked. The 25%,50%,75% or 100% Direct Recruitment Rules enacted in various Departmental Service Rules for Recruitment to Different Post through NPSC had been totally Violated and instead the P&AR Department had been issuing Orders for appointment or regularization of contract appointees to the above mentioned post.
On the other hand, to cover up all these underhand activities at times, some Departments conduct Interview where again some Politicians and Bureaucrats holds the remote to feed their near or dear ones at the cost of depriving genuine Educated and Qualified unemployed youths. I am sure; those involved in these type of backdoor appointment nexus would be haunted down till their last breath by their own guilty conscious and even by our Almighty.
Let the present showdown between NSF and Power Department be the Beginning of a war cry to all Departments in Nagaland. Is any Naga Anna Hazare in the offing to take this flagship backdoor appointment issue ahead ???
