Aizawl, June 11 (MExN): Bank of Baroda has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mizoram Police to extend the Baroda Defence & Police Forces Salary Package to police personnel in the state.
The special salary package offers life and accidental insurance benefits, loans and a range of other banking services at free or subsidised rates for Mizoram Police personnel.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Director General of Police Sharad Agarwal and Bank of Baroda General Manager and Zonal Head (Northeastern States Zone) Shiba Pada Nayak.
The agreement was formally signed by Bank of Baroda Deputy General Manager and Regional Head (Guwahati Region) Diwakar Jha and Mizoram Police Inspector General of Police (Headquarters) H. Ramthlengliana. Senior officials from both the bank and the Mizoram Police also attended the event.
Bank officials said the partnership builds on an earlier MoU signed between the two organisations in January 2023 for the salary package of Mizoram Police personnel, which has since been implemented and has benefited both police personnel and the bank.
The collaboration reflects Bank of Baroda's commitment to providing customised financial solutions for police departments and their employees, with a focus on convenience, value and long-term financial well-being.
