The 40th Annual Sports Meet of Baptist School Botsa (BSB) commenced today under the theme, “Embrace Excellence, Embody Greatness.”

Gracing the occasion,

The event was graced by Sub-Divisional Police Officer (North), DySP  Sheta Lohe encouraged students to uphold discipline, perseverance, and teamwork in both sports and academics.

He emphasised that talent is a natural ability or skill possessed by individuals in various fields such as sports, music, academics, leadership, and creativity.

Events like annual sports meet provide a platform for students to showcase their talents, allowing them to shine and grow, he held.
However, Lohe reminded the students that talent alone is not enough—it must be nurtured and utilized.

He urged them not to let their abilities remain dormant but to refine their skills, work hard, and strive for greater heights.
True success, he said, comes from a combination of talent, effort, discipline, and perseverance.

Lohe further highlighted the profound impact of sports on life, stating that it teaches valuable lessons such as discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and mental strength.

He encouraged students to participate wholeheartedly, not just for victory but for personal growth. More than winning, sports are about building friendships, creating lasting memories, and developing character. The experiences gained through sports help shape individuals into resilient, confident, and well-rounded personalities, he said.

The program was chaired by Khriebeituonuo Seyie while welcome address was delivered by Thejakhrienuo Nakhro, Headmistress of BSB.  Thejaneizo Thevo, led the oath-taking ceremony.
