Jotsoma, March 5 (MExN): The Annual Sports and Games of Baptist Mission School (BMS) Jotsoma commenced today with Mhasilhusie Nagi, a multiple wrestling champion and Engineer in the Nagaland Public Works Department (NPWD) gracing the opening ceremony as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Nagi encouraged the students to face challenges with determination, emphasising that sports are an integral part of education.
He highlighted the importance of physical exercise in promoting strength—physically, mentally, intellectually, and morally.
Nagi also shared his personal experience, explaining the challenges he faced balancing academics with wrestling practice, and urged students to maintain discipline in order to excel in both sports and academics.
Earlier, the Headmaster of the school, VJ Thomas, along with the School Board Chairman, GBs, and other dignitaries, welcomed the special guest to the event.
The occasion featured a march-past by the students, followed by various programmes.
