Bode Swüro & Neivito Vitsu receive NEZCC Young Talent Artiste Award

Two budding sculptors from Nagaland Bode Swüro and Neivito Vitsu are recipients of the prestigious NEZCC Young Talent Artiste Award for the year 2022-2023. 

The duo recieved the award during an event organized by the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India at NEZCC in Guwahati yesterday. 

They received the award along with 17 others young artistes from the Northeast states in different art categories. 

The award included cash prize and citation. 

Vitsu informed that the recognition is give “to promote and encourage young talents from the North Eastern states of India in various fields of art and culture and to recognize and encourage young artists who have shown exceptional skill and dedication in their field.”

From every state there were two awardees and from Nagaland Bode Swüro and Myself Neivito Vitsu are selected for the award under the Sculpture category, he added. 

Swüro while sharing about their journey informed that both are fine arts graduates and have recently started working on various projects and Commission along with their companion, Longusie Nyuthe through their collective, 3ATIFS in 2023. 

Most of their works, he highlighted ranged from miniature art to life sized figures while working with material such as fibre, cement, wood, Plaster of Paris among others. 

Sculptor to them is not just a passion but a vocation coupled with their professional skills. 

Describing that their journey, altogether has been budding and engaging, Swüro mentioned that it has been a whirlwind of activity as they tackle commissions, participate in competitions, and attend workshops. 

The duo are active in social media Instagram in their group, 3AtifsNaga.
