Kohima, December 21 (MExN): The 49th games and sports meet 2019 of Chokri Area Games & Sports Association (CAGSA) will start from January 4, 2019 at Khulazu Basa under Phek district with the motto ‘Friendship and progress’
Minister for planning & co-ordination and land revenue Neiba Kronu will graced the occasion as the special invitee while Dr. Veluo Shijo , additional director, State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) will be the guest of honour.
In a press release, CAGSA informed that a joint meeting o CAGSA executive, umpires and team managers will be held on January 3.
The nine day long sports meet will be marked by football, volleyball and basketball for men and women, track events such as sprint, race and country race and field events of high jump, broad jump, shot put, discus throw, javeline throw and triple jump etc will take place.
