New team Jerseys unveiled for Season 4
Dimapur, September 19 (MExN): The kits of participating teams of CASE Premier League (CPL) Season 4 were officially unveiled at A1 Powerplay on September 19.
A press note informed that eight teams will compete in this year’s edition of the CPL, which has seen three successful seasons. Under the theme ‘Beyond Thirty, Beyond Fitness, Beyond Football’, this unregistered football league for non-professionals will commence onSeptember 22 at the Police Complex, Chumukedima.
The eight participating teams are CASE FC, FC Joga Bonito, Natak FC, Nizams FC,Ruboo United, Sporting Union, Super Strikers and Trinity Sporting. While five of the teams have participated in previous seasons, the new entrants making their debut in the league are FC Joga Bonito, Ruboo United and Sporting Union.
CPLis a non-professional football league for players above the age of 30. All the matches are to be played in the 1st NAP and DGP grounds and on Saturdays so as not to clash with the professional life of the players which comprises of businessmen, policemen, doctors, government employees, teachers etc.
Unlike the previous season where the teams played in a single round format, this season will witness fourteen games in a home-away basis over a span of five months, with a season break scheduled in December.
