Participants of CCSA 2nd Cultural Meet on January 7
Phek, January 7 (MExN): The Centre Chakhesang Sports Association (CCSA) conducted its 2nd Cultural Meet under the theme” Sowing seeds of our culture: Harvesting a brighter future” at Lower Khomi village in Phek district on January 7
Thiipuvecho Vadeo, president Chakhesang Union Chiimoukedima graced the occasion as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Vadeo urged upon the youngsters to avoid the western cultural imitation and encouraged them to uphold their unique tradition and culture.
He also stressed on the need to adopt the process of selecting leadership in olden days.
Greetings was shared by Sekriizii Area Sports’ Association (SASA) president Khokuto Sapu while short speech was delivered by Veyesa Khesoh, ex-VCC.
The inaugural programme was led by Vesiito D. Vadeo, CCSA representative to PDSA while Vepothi Lala, pastor LBC invoked God’s blessings.
Welcome address was delivered by CCSA president Dode Nakro.
Pholami Youth Organization performed folk tune.
The 2nd cultural meet was marked by competitions in Makro Phetho, Roce Kiice, Mikiina li, Mida li with tati, Mikiina dotho, Mucii, Thiizo Siipiih (Women) and Phesii.
The judges included; Riiyingoyi Tetseo, Theyeta Nakro, Shevociiyi Thuluo, Vezota Nakro, Miidosii Kezo, Vezhosayi Lohe and Thiijoveyi Keroh.
The prize distribution was led by CCSA social & cultural secretary Therayi Lohe while vote of thanks was proposed by CCSA advisor Thiivoswiiyi Lohe. De-hosting & act of blessing was pronounced by Vepoduyi Vero, associate pastor, Upper Khomi Baptist Church.
The event was compered by Vediisalii Tetseo and Veyozo D. Vedeo.
The meet was hosted by Lower Khomi Youth Organization.
