Farmers and ICAR-NRC on Mithun staff at the PM-KISAN Utsav Diwas event in Medziphema.
Medziphema, October 30 (MExN): The ICAR-National Research Centre (NRC) on Mithun, Medziphema, organised a PM-KISAN Utsav Diwas programme on October 30 to mark the release of the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme.
The programme featured a live telecast of the instalment release and was attended by farmers and other stakeholders. Director of ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Dr Girish Patil S, who graced the occasion, highlighted the importance of PM-KISAN in providing financial assistance to farming families. He encouraged farmers to make effective use of various government welfare schemes and adopt improved agricultural and livestock farming practices.
During the programme, participants were briefed on the benefits of PM-KISAN, eligibility criteria for beneficiaries, e-KYC requirements, Aadhaar and bank account linking, and the need to verify beneficiary status through the official portal. The programme aimed to create awareness among farmers about government initiatives and facilitate access to welfare schemes intended to support their livelihoods.
